When is the inaugural Chi City Showcase?
The target is late spring or early summer 2028. Final dates will be announced after venue and operational planning are completed.
Where will the event be held?
The venue is not yet finalized. Chi City is pursuing a Chicago-area multi-court venue and is also open to a host-venue partnership.
How many teams will participate?
The current inaugural target is 16 programs. The final structure may evolve as divisions, venue capacity and scheduling are finalized.
How can a team be considered?
Coaches and program directors can submit the Teams / Apply interest form. An interest submission is not a guaranteed invitation or paid registration.
How much will team entry cost?
Entry fees have not been finalized. Pricing will be announced after the venue, event format and included team benefits are set.
Will games be streamed?
Streaming is part of the plan through Chi City Live. The goal is for viewers to watch through the Chi City website while professional video infrastructure powers delivery behind the scenes.
Will there be scholarships?
The current target is four $1,000 scholarships, subject to finalized funding, eligibility requirements and selection criteria.
When will tickets go on sale?
Tickets will open after the venue, event dates, schedule framework and admission policies are confirmed. Fans can join the ticket-update list now.
Can companies sponsor the event?
Yes. Cash, scholarship, broadcast, court, venue, hospitality and in-kind partnerships are all part of the sponsorship structure.
Can a venue partner with Chi City?
Yes. Host-venue partnerships may include discounted or sponsored rental, courts, scoreboards, event setup, parking/security coordination, hospitality and on-site branding.
Is Chi City Showcase affiliated with a shoe company or circuit?
Chi City is currently being developed as an independent basketball property. Future partnerships will be evaluated in ways that preserve the event’s goals and flexibility.
