Competition With Purpose
Events should create meaningful matchups—not just fill court time.

The Founder
Created by a coach who knows the game.
Basketball has been a significant part of Meshach Obafemi’s life for years, first as a player and now as a high school basketball coach in Chicago. Working directly with young athletes has shown him how much quality competition, strong environments and meaningful opportunities can matter to both players and programs.
Chi City Showcase is being built from that experience—with the goal of creating events that teams want to return to and partners are proud to support.
Our Principles
What Chi City should stand for.
Professional Operations
Clear communication, scheduling, safety, media and event standards that build trust.
Opportunity
Exposure, scholarships, community connections and a platform that helps programs grow.
